The School Age Center is accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

The Fort Drum School Age Center (SAC) offers a supervised, comprehensive before- and after-school program for children in grades K–6, which include all facets of development in four main areas:

  1. Sports, Fitness and Health Options

  2. Arts, Recreation and Leisure Activities

  3. Life Skills, Citizenship and Mentoring

  4. Intervention/Support Services

The goal is to provide safe, flexible and affordable before- and after-school child care options for parents while providing fun and enriching choices for youth.

In order to help youth build life skills, SAC also partners with other Family and MWR activities to develop a varied schedule of extra-curricular options, such as bowling, arts and crafts, swimming and project research at the library. Youth flourish from participating in activities such as the Boys and Girls Club and developing award-winning 4-H projects. Some children may enjoy fun-filled learning experiences in the computer lab, while others may enjoy a multitude of educational and interesting activities. Programs are for school-aged youth.
